Ralph Griffin Obituary
RALPH LOUIS GRIFFIN
April 22, 1946 ˜ November 17, 2023
Ralph was a lifelong resident of Vancouver, WA. His journey through life included attending Hudson’s Bay High School and George Fox University before earning a master’s degree from the University of Oregon. At one time, Ralph served as Vancouver’s Director of Youth and Minority Affairs.
Grounded in a deep and unwavering faith in God, he forged lasting friendships with those who shared his spiritual convictions, particularly within The New Life Friends Church (Lord’s Gym) community.
Ralph is survived by his three children, James Griffin, Dana Mims and Alex Griffin; his mother, Belva Jean Griffin; brother, Robert Griffin; and sister, Rita Deiz. His legacy extends through seven grandsons and five great-grandchildren, a testament to the love and family bonds he nurtured.
The family would also like to thank Ralph’s longtime friend, Cybil Shaffer, for her loving care.
A memorial service celebrating Ralph’s life will be held Friday, Dec. 1, 12:30 p.m., at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to The Lord’s Gym, honoring Ralph’s commitment to his faith community. May his soul rest in peace and memories of him be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew and loved him.

I will miss Ralph.He was one of the gentlest, kindest souls I ever met.
My condolences go out to his family. My heart is broken. But I know we will see him again in Heaven, or when this earth is renewed by God, and only people like him are allowed on it.
