Ralph Grubb Obituary
December 31, 1931 - August 8, 2022
"Coach" Ralph Grubb of Pontiac Central High School passed away on August 8, 2022 in Troy, Michigan at the age of 91. Ralph was born to Louise and Gordon Grubb in Auburn Heights, Michigan on New Years' Eve of 1931. He always said that the whole world celebrated his birth!
He was a graduate of Pontiac Central High School then attended Eastern Michigan University from which he earned his Master's Degree. Ralph then served proudly in the United States Army before beginning his 31 year career at Pontiac Central High School as a teacher and Basketball coach.
Ralph fondly remembered his many students and Basketball players with many memorable stories and a big smile.
In 1984, Ralph was inducted into the Michigan High School Coaches Hall of Fame after 28 years of coaching Basketball at Pontiac Central High Scholl where he continued to coach and teach for 7 more years.
Ralph was a good son, father, husband, uncle and friend who was always there to help anyone that needed it. He truly graced us with his presence. He will be remembered with love.
