Ralph Wayne Hall, 64, of Norris City passed away on January 5, 2026 in Evansville, IN. He was born on May 12, 1961 in Odessa, TX the son of Ralph Morene Hall and Sara Ann (McNeal) Hall. Ralph married Christy Dawn Rhein on October 9, 1981 and they shared over 32 years of marriage together until her passing on February 14, 2014. He graduated from NCOE High School in 1979. Ralph was a Deputy Coroner for White Co. with Carl McVey, Elk’s member, corrections officer, lifetime member of the Coal Belt Fire Protective Association of Southern Illinois, 40 years with Norris City Fire Protection District which he served as the fire chief and board of trustee’s secretary. His hobbies were watching YouTube, anything fire-related, riding four-wheelers, spending time with family, and making jokes.
Ralph is survived by his children, Missie (Jeremy) Pretzsch of Carmi, Shannon Johnson of Norris City, and Brad (Whitney) Hall of Norris City; siblings, Vickie Garrett of Norris City, Mary O’Neal of Norris City, and Whit Myatt; grandchildren, Baileigh, Bryce, Aleksa, Calem Beau, Taylor, Landon, Chasity, Gracie, Tyler, and Aiden; great-grandchildren, Graelynn, Leslie, and one on the way; and several nieces and nephews. Ralph is preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Funeral Services for Ralph Wayne Hall, 64, of Norris City will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 9, 2026 at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. until time of service at 7:00 p.m. Private Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Norris City. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Campbell Funeral Home to assist the family with expenses. Envelopes will be available at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City or donations can be mailed to Campbell Funeral Home, 609 W. Main St, Carmi, IL 62821 or by Venmo @jordanfuneralgroup Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City is assisting the family with arrangements.
