Ralph E. Hickey

Ralph E. Hickey, a longtime resident of Middleton, passed away on Sunday, January 23rd, after a brief illness. Ralph was born in Malden in 1946, the son of George and Frances Hickey. He was raised in Malden, and graduated from Malden High School with the Class of 1966. He then began working at the Continental Can Company in Malden, before taking a job as a Machinist with the Gillette Corporation. He worked for Gillette until his retirement in the early 2000's. Ralph was an active softball player in years past, and loved watching baseball. He also liked going boating and salt water fishing.


He is survived by his son, Patrick B. Hickey of Middleton, his siblings, brother of Joanne Fitzpatrick of FL, Thomas Hickey of NH, Pauline O'Leary of FL, Kathleen Gulino of Martha's Vineyard, Daniel Hckey of NH, as well as many nieces and nephews.


Ralph was preceded in death by his brother George Hickey, and his sister Jean Kostka.


Visitation for Ralph will be held in the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden on Thursday, January 27th, from 4-8 PM.

Graveside services will be held in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden, at a later date
