Ralph P. Honebrink, age 82, of Atwater, passed away Tuesday morning, September 5.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. followed by the celebration of life service at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 12, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. www.petersonbrothers.com
Ralph Philip Honebrink was born on May 6, 1941, in Montevideo, Minnesota, the son of Frank and Marvel (Lovhaug) Honebrink. He grew up in Willmar and graduated from Willmar High School in 1960. On June 15, 1963, Ralph was united in marriage to Karen-Rae Westphall and they made their home in Worthington. In 1968, they moved to the Atwater community. Ralph was employed in the construction business for many years building turkey and pig barns as well as sheds and buildings. He tried to retire 3 times but needed to stay busy. Most recently Ralph was employed at Menards in Willmar. He was a "shade tree' mechanic that enjoyed tinkering with classic cars. Ralph enjoyed visiting with people and living a simple lifestyle.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years, Karen-Rae; two sons, Anthony Honebrink (and partner, Pamela Fernsler) of Philadelphia, PA. and Michael Honebrink of Hawick; one sister, Fransje Kuperus of Willmar, besides many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Kathie Ann in April of 2023; two brothers, Forrest and Gary; one brother-in-law, LeRoy Kuperus and one nephew, Brian Kuperus.

He was a great man, I worked with him at Menards. If I had a question he always knew the answer. He will be missed by all of use at work. Rest in peace Ralph.
