Ralph Wilson Jones Jr.

Ralph Wilson Jones, Jr., 73, of Leechburg, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Memory Meadows Personal Care Home. Ralph was born in Natrona Heights, PA on April 28, 1952, a son of the late Ralph Wilson Jones, Sr. and Jean Elizabeth (Martin) Jones. Ralph was a 1972 graduate of Freeport High School. He retired from Hansen, working as a riverboat captain. He was a former Freeport volunteer fireman and a member of the the Cadogan Sportsman Club and the VFW in Freeport. Ralph enjoyed reading, camping, woodworking and going to the "big store." He was an avid fisherman, who enjoyed making fishing lures and and also enjoyed smoking meats. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. He is survived by his loving wife, Lucille (Anthony) Jones, who he married August 25, 1974, two daughters, Sue Ann Jones of Freeport and Laura Jean (John L.) Jones-Trefelner of Leechburg, 5 grandchildren, Josh and Julie Hess, Chancelour, Austin and Brianna Trefelner, Cheyanne and Kaiden Trefelner-Graham and Isiah, great grandchildren, Robert and Elena and Lydia and Ella and several brothers and sisters. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister. Friends will be received on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 11 am - 1 pm at the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc., 524 High St., Freeport. A funeral service will follow at 1 pm.
