Brockton – Mr. Ralph S. Langone, Jr. passed away Wednesday, December 31,2025 at the age of 93.
Ralph was born April 30, 1932 in the North End of Boston a son of the late Ralph S. and Theresa (Segadelli) Langone. Raised in Arlington, he graduated from Arlington High School at the age of 16 in 1948. He honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War after which he attended Wentworth Institute of Technology earning a degree in project management. After graduating, he worked for Congress Construction and built his career working with several local construction firms. He collaborated on several large projects including the clock tower at Bentley College in Waltham, the Fire Department Headquarters in Lowell and the Welcome Center in Eastham.
He met Waltham native Maureen E. Stankard at a dance at the well-known Mosely’s on Charles and they later married on October 7, 1967 in Saint Jude’s Church. Longtime residents of Lexington and married for 52 years his beloved Maureen died June 11, 2020.
Ralph and Maureen enjoyed taking trips down the cape or to Ogunquit with walks along the Marginal Way followed by a delicious dinner at The Lobster Pound.. He was a devout husband and father. Ralph had a love for history, cars, reading and music. He was a life-long learner and frequented the library often in search of new topics to research.
He leaves his children, Stephen M. Langone of Waltham, Linda M. Cornett of Londonderry, New Hampshire, and John P. Langone of Brockton; his grandchildren, Julia and Joella Langone, Ava, Thomas, Sean Cornett and Angela and Madelyn Langone; his brother, Frank Langone (Patricia) of Lexington; in-laws, Charles E. Stankard, Jr. (Jean) of Lincoln and Kevin Stankard (Beatrice) of Tyngsboro; several nieces, nephews and their families.
Family and friends will honor and remember Ralph's life by gathering a Morning Wake on Wednesday, January 7th from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where his funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial with military honors in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne is Thursday, December 8th at 10:45 a.m.
