Ralph H. McCullough passed away on February 14, 2024, at age 94, in Austin, Texas, after a brief illness. Born on September 21, 1929, Ralph was a lifelong Christian and was a member of First Christian Church. He had a great sense of humor and often played the jokester. He had a very soft spot in his heart for animals, especially his. He loved to fish, especially in Colorado and at Lake LBJ. Ralph loved to watch sports, particularly football and wrestling, NASCAR, and western movies.
Ralph proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict, after which he went to work for GE Supply Company. He retired in 1989 after 43 years of service.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 47 years, Penny, of Llano, Texas. He is also survived by one brother, Bill McCullough (Judy) of Friendswood, Texas. Ralph leaves behind children Susan Lawson (Bob) of Decatur, Texas, Becky McCullough of Portland, Texas, Jimmy Taylor of Llano, Texas, and Richard Taylor (Cindy) of Richland Springs, Texas. He is survived by grandchildren Donnie Lawson (Amy), Bobby Lawson (Amanda), Brady Taylor (Stacie), J. R. Taylor (Emily), Cody Taylor (Phoebe), Neil Taylor, and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. They will all cherish their memories of Papa Ralph, Uncle Ralph, and Daddy-O.
Pallbearers are as follows, Brady Taylor, J.R. Taylor, Cody Taylor, Bobby Lawson, Mark Majek, and Larry Nye.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Charlie Marshal Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, Texas. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 20, from 2:00 – 3:00 with services to follow.
