Ralph Edward "Eddie" Phelps, 70, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at his residence.

He was born on September 12, 1953 to the late Edward and Edith (Foster) Phelps in Somerset, Kentucky. He loved fishing, gardening, wood working, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Rita (Skaggs) Phelps; one son, Justin Ramsey of Somerset, KY; two daughters, Jennifer & (Richard) Todd of Somerset, KY and Jill Didyk of Louisville, KY; a brother, Michael Phelps of Eubank, KY; six grandchildren, Kaitlynn Ramsey, Chance Todd, Caleb Ramsey, Mason Ramsey, Lilee Todd, and Reid Luckett; two sister in laws, Charlotte Short and Nina Skaggs; and two brother in laws, Gary & (Delores) Skaggs and Cary Burton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Linda Burton; and a sister who died in infancy, Martha Phelps.

A service will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Somerset, Kentucky.

The family will receive friends at 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
