Ralph A. Ratliff Jr., 81 of Fairmont, West Virginia, passed away peacefully at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Medina, Ohio on Saturday November 15, 2025, following a short illness. He was born December 22, 1943 in Oak Hill, West Virginia, and was a life-long resident of the Fairmont area. Ralph was employed as a manager and machinist at Morgantown Machine and Hydraulics in Morgantown and he retired after 37 years of service. He was a proud member of The Ivory Mountain Brotherhood. Ralph enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He is survived by: his daughter, Donna Post (Robert Conner) of Linden, Virginia; two sons, Jeff Ratliff and Ralph Ratliff III (Richard Gullion), both of Cleveland; two granddaughters, Brooke Morris (Nathan), and Taryn Shanholtz (Tyler); four grandsons, Kyle Ratliff (Erica), Cody Ratliff (Mariah), Tyler Post (Kasey), and Bryce Post; two great granddaughters, Rylee Morris, and Evelyn Shanholtz; three great grandsons, Landon Morris, Braxton Ratliff, and Lucas Ratliff; and two step sons, Todd and Robert Tatterson. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Edsel Jean Ratliff (nee Poe) in 2015; and his parents, Ralph A. and Freda (nee Mills) Ratliff. A private burial will take place in Fairmont, West Virginia.
