Randel Thomas "Randy" Ratliff

Randel Thomas "Randy" Ratliff, 68 years of age, of Grundy, VA, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at his residence with his family by his side. Born January 22, 1957, in Grundy, VA, he was the son of the Reual and Dorothy Ratliff.
Randy was a member of Poplar Creek Church of Christ and was a retired heavy equipment operator last working for United Coal Company. For many years, he was a caretaker to his mother and father who enjoyed gardening and riding his side by side in his free time. Randy was a loving husband, father, and Papaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents Reual and Dorothy Ratliff.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years Patricia Lynn Ratliff; daughters April Lynn Ratliff of Hickory, NC, Amanda Raysha Haigler and husband Mitchel of Summerville, SC; son David Randel Ratliff of Grundy, VA; sisters Carolyn Faye Myers and husband Joseph of William Port, PA; Edith Louise Steward of Lebanon, VA; brothers Stanley Reual Ratliff and wife Gwen of Mt. Vernon, OH, Gary Lynn Ratliff and wife Linda of Grundy, VA, Timothy Wayne Ratliff and Cedar Bluff, VA.
He is also survived by grandchildren Lawson Haigler, Braxton Haigler and several nieces and nephews.
Honoring Randy's wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no service.
