Ralph Reece Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A. - Leonardtown on Dec. 11, 2025.
Ralph "Buddy" Edward Reece, 63, of Mechanicsville, Maryland, passed away peacefully at his home on December 6, 2025. Born on November 11, 1962, in La Plata, Maryland, Buddy was the beloved son of the late Eddie Reece and Rosalee Marie Reece (née Wise).

Buddy spent his career in the janitorial field and was known for his dependability, strong work ethic, and friendly spirit. For 15 years, he was a dedicated employee at Walmart, where coworkers and customers alike appreciated his kindness and good humor.

A true lover of life's simple joys, Buddy could often be found watching westerns, cheering for his favorite football team-the Chargers-or enjoying time behind the wheel of his red Chevy Silverado. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family. Many of their most treasured memories were made around the card table, where Buddy loved playing Pitch and Tonk-always insisting on the famous "Reece Rules" passed down from Eddie and Jim.

Buddy is survived by his siblings Teresa Marie Orencia, Janet Clements (Tony), and Timothy Reece (Beth); his nieces and nephews Jeffrey Thompson, Katie Reece, Ashlyn Reece, and T.J. Reece; and his great-nieces and great-nephews Jenna Cook, Ethan Thompson, Ileigh Thompson, and Shane Orencia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his nephews Kevin Orencia and Jamie Thompson.

Buddy will be remembered for his warm heart, easy laughter, and deep love for his family. His presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service for Buddy will be held at Trinity Memorial Gardens at a later date.

Condolences to the family may be left at www.brinsfieldfuneral.com.
