Richard Norman Lamb

Richard Norman Lamb, 93, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026, in Lexington Park, Maryland, with his loving family by his side. He was born on July 10, 1932, in Fort Myers, Florida, to the late Orian C. Lamb and Paula C. Altman Lamb.

Richard proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married Marion Powell on July 26, 1953 in Rutherford, New Jersey. He pursued higher education with dedication, earning an Industrial Management degree as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Florida. He spent his professional career with Hughes Aircraft Company, where he worked as Manager of Systems Aerospace Programming.

From a young age, Richard had a love for adventure. As a child, he enjoyed sailing, and throughout his life he cherished getting in the car and driving-always eager to explore new places and travel with Marion. In 1990, he relocated from Los Angeles, California, to Maryland to be closer to his family, a decision that reflected the importance of family in his life. He was part of the Elks Lodge and the American Legion where he enjoyed spending time with friends.

Richard is survived by his children, Alan Lamb (Eulalia) of Glen Allen, Virginia, and Luanne Barosio (Luis) of Lexington Park, Maryland; his brother, Jean Lamb of Tampa, Florida; six grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marian F. Lamb; his parents; his brother, Howard Orian Lamb, Sr.; and granddaughter Ursela Bell.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Richard's life on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Brinsfield Funeral Home P.A., 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650, with a funeral service celebrated by Rev. Mark Smith at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at 1:15 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum, 22020 Chancellors Run Road, Great Mills, MD 20634.

Serving as pallbearers are: Alan Lamb, Alannah Bell, Frank Barosio, Antonio Barosio, Luis Barosio Jr. and Joseph Barosio.
