Ralph was born on May 31, 1935, on his Grandpa's farm in Norfolk Township, Renville County, MN. He was the 12th of 14 children of Ralph Sr. and Theresia (Voltin) Revier.
At 18 years old he drove on a road construction crew to Oklee, MN and met the love of his life, Jan Singer. He proposed three times over three years before she finally said yes. They celebrated 63 years of happy marriage. Jan waited in heaven for four years until he finished his time here. Ralph was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Redwood Falls.
Ralph held many jobs and careers, including farming, driving trucks on farms, road crews, hauling tanks in the army, semi-trucks cross country, milk and paper routes, and selling Snap-On Tools. He also had a lawn and snow service and was a Sheriff's dispatcher. Ralph served his country in the Army at Fort Knox, KY, where he and Jan started married life. They lived a summer in Alaska and then moved back to Minnesota, settling in Redwood Falls. On weekends Ralph took the family camping to explore Minnesota and its lakes. Ralph and Jan traveled through 46 states, as well as the Netherlands and France. He also restored a 1930 Model A Ford in which he and Jan enjoyed driving around town and through the park, always stopping and talking with friends and strangers.
While the love of his life was always his wife, Ralph was a caring and generous man. He was often the first to lend a hand to any neighbor, family member, stranger, or friend. Ralph also was the epitome of the fix-it man, and a very talented woodworker and designer.
Ralph is survived by his children, Kevin (Rene) Revier of Rochester, MN; Deborah (Randy) Prososki of Center City, MN; Sandra (Tom) Becker of Greeley, CO; Angela (Tim) Dye of Martinsburg, WV; Pamela (Inder) Sehgal of Reno, NV. Ralph and Jan's legacy is carried on by 17 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren. He is survived by his sister Rosabelle Revier and sister-in-law Betty Revier. Ralph will be especially missed by Dorie Steenblock, who has brought love and laughter back into his life for the last two years.
Blessed be his memory.
