In Loving Memory of Robert Joseph "Bob" Jacobus

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Joseph Jacobus, affectionately known as "Bob," at the age of 84, on December 24, 2025, in Lakeville, MN. Born on September 3, 1941, in Redwood Falls, MN, to Kermit and Helen Jacobus, Bob's life was a testament to dedication, kindness, and service.

A proud graduate of Redwood Falls High School and South Dakota State University. Bob devoted his career to agriculture and community. For 42 years, he served as Regional Manager of Member Services at Land-O-Lakes, where his leadership and mentorship touched hundreds of cooperative managers across seven states. Bob's expertise in consulting, management placement, and training shaped the future of local cooperatives and left a lasting mark on the industry.

In retirement, Bob embraced his passions for fishing and gardening, becoming a UofM Extension Master Gardener. He generously shared his horticultural knowledge, volunteering in Red Wing and inspiring others with his love for nature and community service.

Bob's greatest joy was his family. Married to his beloved wife, Mary Berg, since June 15, 1963, Bob was a devoted husband, father to Paul Jacobus (s/o Beckey Swenson) and Karen Jacobus (Gus Mueller), and proud grandfather to Tanner and Alec Jacobus. He is also survived by his sister, Susan Irlbeck, and a circle of cherished family and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Jerry Irlbeck.

Bob will be remembered for his warm heart, generosity, and unwavering support. His kindness enriched the lives of all who knew him, and his legacy will live on in the memories and stories shared by family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 11 AM to 2 PM at White Funeral Home, 20134 Kenwood Trail, Lakeville, MN. Interment will be held at a later date at St. Joseph's Catholic Church Cemetery, Morton, MN.

Memorials may be directed to the Minnesota Hospice Foundation in memory of Bob.
