Ralph H. Rice, 90 of Main Street Addison NY passed away at ELCOR Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Sunday, February 8, 2026.

Born in Addison on November 23, 1935, Ralph was the son of Harold and Louise (Elwood) Rice. He was raised in Addison, enlisted in the Army from 1954-1956 and returned home to graduate. Following graduation, he went to Bryant and Stratton Business School in Buffalo where he met Sandra Karns and they were married on January 23, 1960 in Buffalo.

They resided in the only house on Main Street in Addison for 62 years. Sandy predeceased him in 2018. He ran Rice's Cycle Shop and Rice's Antique Shop for many years. He was a security guard at Corning Glass Works and CCC. He also worked for Steuben County. He had acquired a vast collection of many things. He enjoyed going to auctions, square dancing and playing guitars.

Surviving are his 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Kerry and Sharon Rice of Addison and Zephyrhills, Florida, Keith and Christeta Rice and Kurt and Robin Rice of Richmond Hill, Georgia, grandchildren Jennifer (Brian) Fey, Melanie (Bill) Girouard, Dylan, Dustin, and Angela Rice, great grandchildren Emma, Colby, Madison, Carley, Aiden, Kinsley, and Layla. Sisters Sue Shorthouse and Audrey Llewellyn, brother Llewellyn (Patti) Rice, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Peggy Karns, Sue (Bill) Wyant, Jim (Linda) Karns along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Ralph was predeceased by his sisters Elaine Smith and Darlene Ellis.

Ralph's family will have a memorial in the spring.
