Ralph Martin Sayers, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and educator, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025, at the age of 95. Born on July 29, 1930, in Ewing, Texas, Ralph was the son of Sibyl and Scott Sayers. A proud veteran, Ralph served his country with honor before pursuing his passion for education. He earned his master's degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and dedicated 34 years to teaching, shaping countless young minds with wisdom, patience, and care.

Ralph was a man of many talents and interests. He found joy in fishing, hunting, and woodworking-activities that reflected his love for nature and craftsmanship. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he was a devoted member of the Methodist Church in Anahuac.

Ralph is survived by his loving wife of nearly 73 years, Betty Sayers; daughter Kathy Chambliss and husband Dick; sons Randy Sayers and wife Georgia, Ralph Sayers and wife Rhonda, and Scott Sayers and wife Jill. He was a proud grandfather to Kyle Chambliss, Kolby Chambliss, Regan Dean, Mallari Schilder, Blake Sayers, Cullan Sayers, Meghan Belmont, Jilyan Daniel, Logan Sayers, Josh Sayers, Dylan Sayers, and Stefan Sayers, and a cherished great-grandfather to 13 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Arthur Sayers and wife Mary Ann, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Scott and Sibyl Sayers, and his brothers Sam and Carey Sayers.

His legacy of love, service, and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
