Kimberly Fowler, age 53, of Carthage, Texas, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025. Kimberly Anne Castiaux was born on August 25, 1971, in Monongahela, Pennsylvania to Robert Lee and Jessie Marozza Castiaux. She attended elementary school in Pennsylvania before moving to Carthage where she attended Carthage Schools. Kim graduated from Marshall High School with the class of 1989. She earned her Registered Dental Hygienist Degree from Tarrant County Dental Hygiene School where she graduated as the Valedictorian. Kim practiced dental hygiene in Louisiana, the Virgin Islands, Nacogdoches, Texas and for Sid Fowler, D.D.S. in Carthage. She later earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science from Stephen F. Austin State University. Kim loved horse and cattle ranching and had earned her certification in artificial insemination. She also loved and provided incredible care of her dogs and was an expert in the breed of Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Kim was an outstanding cook, having written several cook books through the years. She loved serving people and she owned and operated her own food trailer that had excellent reviews. Most of all, Kim enjoyed spending time with her family who will cherish her memory forever. She was a former member of the North Street Church of Christ in Nacogdoches. Kim was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lee Castiaux and her brother, Scott Castiaux.

She is survived by her son, Slate Fowler; her mother, Jessie Phelps; and numerous other relatives and wonderful friends.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
