Ralph E. Sayre, 70, of Akron, Ohio passed away July 14, 2024 at home. He was born May 21, 1954 in Akron, the son of the late Walter and Viola Sayre (Miller). Ralph attended Garfield High School and later served his country in the U.S. Army from 1971 to 1974 in Korea. Ralph loved his cats, Pabst Blue Ribbon beer, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a life member of Firestone V.F.W. Post 3383 and a lifelong resident of Akron. In addition to his parents, Ralph is preceded in death by his sister Dorothy Steele; brothers Walter Sayre, Alfred Sayre, and Gilbert Sayre; sisters Teresa Haycock and Evelyn Jones. He is survived by his son Jason Sayre; daughter Heather (Kenny) Hefner; daughter Carrie Finch; grandson Kenneth Hefner; granddaughter Alyssa Hefner; brothers Melvin and Lynn; sister Ethel Tipton; as well as many nieces and nephews; pets - Little Boots, Angelique, and Victoria; and sister-in-law Edith Sayre. Special thanks to his nephew Ernie Sayre for the love and care he gave over the last several months. The family will receive friends 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Wednesday, July 17th at the Adams Mason Funeral Home (791 E. Market Street), and for most of July 18th at Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church (1695 Van Lynn Road in Springfield Township). Ralph will be laid to rest at Hillside Memorial Park July 19th, 2024 at 12:00 Noon. Arrangements entrusted to Adams Mason Funeral Home (330) 535-9186
