In Loving Memory of Ralph Derrell Seals

February 1, 1942- April 6, 2025

Mr. Ralph Derrell Seals, age 83, of Villa Rica, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Tranquility Wellstar Hospice Care at Kennesaw Mountain after a courageous battle with Leukemia. Born on February 1, 1942, in Paulding County, Georgia, he was the beloved son of the late Jesse Guy Seals and Bessie Jewell Judkins Seals.

Ralph was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who brought warmth, love, and joy to everyone around him. He was a retired deliveryman from Rich's Department Store and was an attendee of Victory Tabernacle Church in Villa Rica, GA.

He was a cherished soul who found joy in life's simplest pleasures. He loved tending to his garden, traveling, and lifting his spirit with gospel music and preaching from his favorite preacher, Rev. Roger Luke. Ralph lived with a heart full of gratitude and faith, dedicated his life to creating a warm and loving home, finding his greatest happiness in the company of his family. Together, they shared countless moments that became treasured memories and an enduring legacy of love. He will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering faith, and the boundless love he shared with everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He is survived by his loving family, including his son, Derryl (Melinda) Seals, and his daughter, Melanie (Robby) Hall. Ralph's legacy of love extends to his cherished grandchildren: Nicholas Seals, Grayson Hall, and Gracie Hall; his great-grandson, Christopher Seals; and his special nephew, David Carter, whom he lovingly raised as his own. Additionally, Ralph was a devoted guardian to his great-nephew, Brian Montgomery, ensuring that care and compassion remained at the heart of his life. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Paul Carroll of Douglasville, Georgia, and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Johnny (Kim) Carter of St. Petersburg, Florida. Additionally, he is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will hold his memory close.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Thelma Seals, and his siblings: Ernest(Clide) Pruett, Nola (Robert) Seals, Guy (Dorothy) Seals, Dora Mae Quarles, Frank (Mae) Seals, Delena Carroll, and Eunice (Paul) Cole. Also predeceased were his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leon and Lola Carter, and his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Shirley (James) Padgett, Thomas Walter (Fannie) Carter, Horace (Ozell) Carter, Scotty Carter, Peggy (Ralph) McCoy, Laura Carter, and Ricky Carter.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, April 12, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, April 12, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Roger Luke officiating. Reverend Jamie Hobbs and Reverend Jason White offering a prayer. Musical selections will be performed by Virginia Boynton, Kevin and Tracy Boynton, and Jennifer Banks, while "Jesus Loves Me" will be lovingly sung by his granddaughter, Gracie Hall.

Pallbearers will include Grayson Hall, Nicholas Seals, Jamin Harrington, Phillip Harrington, Craig Standridge, and Mark Carter. Honorary pallbearers are Jason White and Sean Carter.
