Hamptonville - Ralph Clayton Shore, 89, passed away Monday, July 15, 2024, at his home. He was born January 21, 1935 in Yadkin County, to the late Jack Green Shore and Cleo Cook Shore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Nella Sue Johnson Shore, brothers; Wayne Shore and Don Shore. He is survived by four daughters, Sara (Roy) Wooten, Rita (Joel) Melton, Laura (Rayford) Myers and Kelly Shore Gentry; sister Linda Holbrook, 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren and many wonderful nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held 2:00pm Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Wilkes Faith Church, Rev. Bobby Jenkins and Rev. Eric Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Dennyville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00pm Thursday at Wilkes Faith Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Mountain Valley Hospice, 243 North Lee Ave, Yadkinville, NC 27018. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Jonesville is serving the Shore family.
