Poppy,

I know your birthday was last week and I just wanted to wish you a happy belated birthday. It is not the same without you and I wish you were still here. It snowed on my mother's birthday. I know you're the one that made it snow. It made me feel you were here with me. I love you Poppy and think about you often.

Love,
Matthew

I AM SO SAD TO HEAR THE NEWS ABOUT PAPA BEAR. YOU HAVE AND ALWAYS WILL BE THOUGHT OF WITH LOVE AND MUCH GRATITUDE FOR ALLOWING ME TO BE A PART OF YOUR FAMILY, FOR TEACHING ME HOW TO DRIVE, FOR ALL THE JOKES WE PLAYED ON ONE ANOTHER AND FOR BEING THE KIND AND GENTLE SOUL YOU ARE. I HAVE MANY HAPPY MEMORIES OF YOU..BOTH YOU AND JUNIE BIRD SHOWED ME WHAT A LOVING RELATIONSHIP IS. I HOPE YOU ARE ENJOYING THE AFTERLIFE AND PLAYING WITH LADY, FATZ AND TEDDY. I PRAY FOR STRENGTH FOR MAMA BEAR. ALL MY LOVE, DONNA

Dear Daddy
I love you, and I will miss you always. You were the best dad ever. I can't believe that I will never see you or talk to you again, and that I will never hear you call me Florida again. I won't hear you say "yellow" when I call on the phone, and I will never say "no, purple" back to you. What will I ever do without you?
Much love, your youngest daughter, Florence

My Poppy,
I am so heartbroken you are not here anymore but I know you are in a much better place. I love you and nanny more than life itself. I always looked up to you and I still do. I am so proud that I have you as my grandfather. You had a gentle heart and a gentle soul and that is something I will never forget. I will always love you poppy and I will never forget you for as long as I live. Your memory will never die and now it is time to set you free. You have no more pain and no more suffering and that is what makes me happy. What also makes me happy is that I had the chance to know you and have you as my grandfather. I love you Poppy.

Your Grandson, Matthew

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of sorrow. Your father was a very nice man and we thoroughly enjoyed any time we spent talking with him. The bond between parent and child is a close one and is never truely broken. He is with God in heaven and can watch over you in all you do. Rich and I and our family rented the house on Rita Road.
