Ralphie Amanda Massey

Ralphie Amanda Massey died Sunday evening, December 21, 2025 at the age of 91 surrounded by her loving and devoted family. She was a faithful servant of the Lord fulfilling a lifetime purpose given to her as a child of taking the gospel in Word and song from coast to coast. She came into this world softly and left quietly leaving a legacy that has touched many lives and many Churches in many places. She will be forever remembered by the many people that she has loved and by the family she leaves to carry on her work. Her prayers have been answered and her joy is complete. She is now in the presence of our Savior and in the arms of her loving partner and devoted husband the late Reverend John B. Massey. Ralphie leaves behind her oldest daughter, Penny Massey Kizzee (Allen); son, Rev. John Paul Massey (Arlyn) and son, Rev. Phillip Ralph Massey (Gerri); and their many children and grandchildren. Ralphie Amanda Massey was the daughter of the late Reverend Ralph Vick of Arkansas who was a 4th generation of ministers whose faith journey took him from his Baptist heritage, to the Assemblies of God, and then lastly to the Church of God. As a child, Ralphie was so influenced by the spirited worship and music of the Church of God that she convinced her mother, and then her father to join the Church of God. Ralphie Massey has many stories, many of which will never be told, but the greatest story is that she is now in glory awaiting that great and final return. Her favorite verse of scripture is Romans 8:28, "And WE KNOW that all things work together for good, to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose." One thing is for certain, this is not the end, the best is yet to come.

Visitation is 4:00-8:00 pm Sunday, January 4, 2026 at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace. A graveside service will held at 2:00 pm Monday, January 5, 2026 in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
