Born on June 10, 1944, in India, Ramanlal lived a remarkable life of strength, generosity, and devotion to family and community. He began his career as a professor in India, where he was admired by students and colleagues alike for his wisdom and dedication to education. Seeking new opportunities, he migrated from India to the United States and eventually made Carthage, Texas, his home. Thirty-two years ago, he purchased and operated a small business in Carthage, where he became not only a successful business owner but also an integral part of the community he cherished. Carthage was more than just where he lived-it truly held his heart, and he embraced the town and its people as his own family. Ramanlal is survived by his loving wife, his devoted partner of 51 years, his three children, and his four cherished grandchildren, who brought him endless joy and pride. Known by all for his kindness, strength, and bravery, Ramanlal was a man with a heart of gold. He loved giving back to the community, donating to local causes, and always being ready to lend a helping hand. His smile was ever-present, greeting everyone with warmth and respect, making each person feel valued. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on projects, spending time at the casino, and scratching lottery tickets, often with a playful grin. These simple joys reflected his vibrant spirit and love for life. His legacy is carried not only in the family he cherished but also in the countless lives he touched in Carthage. He will be remembered as a man of great character who gave selflessly, loved deeply, and lived with courage. Services to honor and celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Hawthorn Funeral Home in Carthage, Texas. Family, friends, and community members are invited to gather and pay tribute to a life so beautifully lived and a man so dearly loved.
