Ramon Baez Rodriguez, age 93, died on September 3, 2025.

He is survived by his children Ramon Baez Jr., Aida L. Baez, Daisy Baez, Wilma Baez, Betsy Gacioch, Giovanni Baez and Digna Baez and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Olga I. Baez, Sons Jose Baez and Ramon (Tato) Baez Jr. and grandson Miguel Baez.

Ramon was born on May 20, 1932, in San German, Puerto Rico to parents Dolores Baez and Catalina Rodriguez. He grew up in Puerto Rico and moved to Chicago, Illinois in 1955 and later to Palm Bay, Florida.

Ramon served in the U.S. Army and the Puerto Rico National Guard serving in the Korean conflict from September 1952 to March 1954. After returning home from the Korean War, Ramon worked as a driver for several companies.

Ramon had three wives. Olga I. Baez, his last wife died in November 2024, and Ramon will be laid to rest alongside Olga.

Ramon loved the company of his dog Princess, listening to his Puerto Rican music, playing dominoes and drinking coffee and eating guava pastries and other sweets.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, 2:00pm, at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US Highway 1, Mims, Florida 32754.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to any military organization.
