Ramon Morris "Ray" Owens Jr.

In 2000 while I was staying with my daughter and her husband, we began attending Great Bridge Baptist Church. Ray is the one who came to visit us and welcome us to the church. We could tell he was a wonderful Christian man. Fast forward to 2006 when Ted and I decided to get married on December 30th. Ray officiated at our wedding and did an excellent job. We'll never forget the fun trips he planned to Rocky Hock, NC to see Christian plays and also trips to the Amish country. Many great memories were made. Ray will be dearly missed.

So glad you shared the part about his laugh. It was the Best! I remember when I was his Ministry Assistant, hearing that wonderful laugh and walking across the hall to his office just to tell him how great it was. He was a dear soul and I am quite certain heaven is enjoying that laugh in between his singing in the choir. Thoughts and prayers to the family.
