Ramona Barnes Obituary

Ramona White Barnes, 93, of the China Grove Community in Chadbourn, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 10, 2023, while in the Lower Cape Fear Angel House in Whiteville.
Ramona was born on November 17, 1930, daughter of the late, Clifton "Cliff" M. White and Letha Nobles White. She was the widow of the late Arcary Barnes and was also preceded id neath by her siblings, Wayne White, Wilmer "Buddy" White, and Rudene White Nance.
Ramona held a 35-year career in the banking industry, primarily serving at the Waccamaw Bank & Trust Company and United Carolina Bank in Fairmont, NC. She was a dedicated member of the ECA and China Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she participated in the Senior China Berries Prayer Group.
A visitation for friends and family will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Worthington Funeral Home.
A private graveside funeral service will be conducted on Thursday at China Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Ramona leaves behind nieces, Mahala Benton (Burney) of Chadbourn, Cynthia Kinlaw (Edward) of Chadbourn, Suzette Evatt of Chadbourn, Dee Ann Fowler (Frankie) of Whiteville; nephews, David White (Kim) of Cerro Gordo, and Robert White of Chadbourn; and a host of great- nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
