Ramona Jane Saunders, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025, in Copperas Cove, Texas, after a long illness. She was born on February 26, 1948, in Fresno, California, and her spirit touched the lives of many who knew her.
Residing in Copperas Cove, Texas, Ramona cherished her time spent with her husband, Harold. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love and laughter. She was a proud mother to her daughters; Ami (Rus) of Coventry, England, Tammy of Copperas Cove, TX, Victoria of Colorado Springs, CO, and Sharon (William) of Copperas Cove, TX. Each of her daughters were not only a testament to her nurturing spirit but also a continuation of her legacy. Additionally, Ramona is survived by her dear sister Crystal of Copperas Cove, TX.
Ramona’s heart expanded even further with every arrival of her cherished grandchildren—Mara, Kaili, Emily, Saira, Trey, William Jr., Jaden, Umar, and Alexis. She delighted in their accomplishments and loved providing them with the support that only a grandmother can offer. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she created countless memories with them that will forever reside in their hearts.
A visitation honoring her life will take place on May 6, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Copperas Cove Location, 1614 S FM 116, Copperas Cove, TX, 76522 followed by a burial at the Veteran's Cemetery in Killeen, TX.
Ramona leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and cherished memories. Her beautiful spirit will be missed dearly by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
