Ramona Zerbe Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home on Jan. 12, 2026.
Ramona Lorraine Zerbe, 93, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026, at her home in Selinsgrove surrounded by both love and her adoring family.
She was born on June 2, 1932, the daughter of the late Alma (Baker) and Archie Loss at their home in Selinsgrove. On Feb. 16,1964, she married Russell Zerbe II who preceded her in death in 2009.
In recent years, she was an avid churchgoer currently at Higher Hope in Sunbury and previously at Christ Community United Methodist in Selinsgrove. She found her greatest joy in hosting family gatherings - especially on holidays - and cherished time spent with her children and extended family. She lovingly cooked and baked for others, crocheted heartfelt gifts, drew pictures and portraits, and took pride in growing her jewelry and angel collections. She loved her beach trips to Ocean City Maryland with family. She was often heard joking with family and telling her family members, "I love you the same."
Ramona is survived by her nine children and their spouses, John (late Pam), Kathy (Jim), Keith (Barb), Tami, Curtis (Teri), Marla (Randy), Russella (late Mike), John Charles, and Brent; 18 grandchildren: Bambi, Heidi (Jim), Matthew (Heidi), Jason (Danielle), Keith Jr., Brandon, Justin (Jackie), Corey (Jessica), Candi (Wes), Kyle (Jenn), Kale, Whitney (Coy), Dakota (Hannah), Keisha (Ryan), Autum (Brandon), Xavier, Whisper (Angela), and Heaven; as well as many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lorna (Carroll) and Dianna; her canine companion, Frisky, and she was the matriarch not only of her family, but of all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by one son, Russell Zerbe III (surviving Nancy); one daughter, Tara Zerbe; four brothers: Lester, Leland, Archie, and Orvil; three sisters: Violet, Eva, and Frieda.
Friends and family may attend a viewing from 4 to 6 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 6 on Monday, Jan. 12, 2026, at Higher Hope Ministries, 1000 Race St., Sunbury.
The interment will be private in Orchard Hills Cemetery.
Flowers and monetary contributions can be made to her family through donations to Higher Hope in Sunbury.
Arrangements are by the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King Street, Northumberland.
