It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Randy Altier, a beloved father, pawpaw, and cherished friend, who left us on August 6, 2024 at the age of 71. Randy was a remarkable man whose passion for life and unwavering love for his family and motorcycle friends near and far touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Born on September 20, 1952 in Moxahala, Ohio to the late Robert V. Altier and Mary Garey Altier of the home. Randy lived a life fueled by his love for motorcycles and the open road. His lifelong dedication to his bike was matched only by his devotion to his family. As a father, he was a pillar of strength, wisdom, and support. His children remember him as a strong, tough, loving, and loyal man, and a very hard worker, most recently working with ODOT.
As a pawpaw, Randy was a father figure and a superhero. His stories of motorcycle escapades and life lessons became treasured memories for them, and his legacy of laughter and love will continue to inspire them for years to come.
Randy was also very close with his mother and deceased father, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. He was a man who loved his family, immediate and extended.
Randy was a former president and active member of the New Lex Classic Riders and was well known in the motorcycle community, where he forged deep friendships and shared countless rides and stories. His presence in the community was a constant source of camaraderie and inspiration, and his spirit will be profoundly missed by all who had the pleasure of riding alongside him.
Rest in peace, Randy. Your earthly ride has ended, but your heavenly ride has just begun. The road you paved in our hearts will remain forever.
