Randal “Randy” Schell, passed away unexpectedly on December 4, 2024, at the age of 51, at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, WI, with family at his side. Born on March 19, 1973, Randy was the beloved baby of the family, the fourth child who brought unending joy and laughter to everyone who knew him.
Randy spent over 30 years as a dedicated truck driver, a role that was more than just a job—it was a lifelong passion. He cherished the open road and the friendships he made along the way in the close-knit trucking community. Known for his upbeat spirit and carefree nature, he had a knack for putting a smile on anyone's face with his infectious sense of humor. Randal was adored by many and will be remembered for his loving, kind-hearted demeanor and the brightness he brought into our lives.
Randy is survived by his father, Ed (Beverly); siblings, Tom (Mary), Jana (Todd), and Julie (Jason); and his nieces and nephews, Josh, Christian (Sarah), Kaity (Ethan), Alex (Jackson), Zach, Carly, Alley, and Carissa.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Suzanne.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 11am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (83 Main St, Rollingstone, MN) with visitation beginning at 10am. Additional visitation will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, 4pm-8pm at the church.
Randy will be laid to rest at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Minneiska.
