Randal Travalia Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jul. 20, 2024.
We are heartbroken to share that Randal William Travalia, age 72, died surrounded by family on July 17, 2024. A true legend and exceptional individual, who left us too soon and will be sorely missed. Randy was born in Calgary, Alberta and spent most of his childhood years in Grand Prairie, Alberta. He went to St Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota to continue playing hockey this is where he met his loving wife Nancy of 48 years. Later graduated from William Mitchell College of Law and joined the Bar in 1978. After law school Randy joined his father-in-law, Bob Mason, building custom homes. We're still not sure how they found time to work with all the hobbies they shared. He found success in all he loved but nothing came more natural than being a dad.
Of all his endeavors he was most passionate about the Minnesota Horse and Hunt Club.
With this community he flourished as an outdoorsman who traveled the world to indulge in his love for hunting and shooting.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents William and Bella Travalia. Randy is survived by his wife Nancy; his brother David (Sally) Travalia; his children, Lindsay Kramer and Kelly (Emily Brown) Travalia; grandchildren, Ella and Bennett Kramer, Paxton and Linden Brown; In-Laws, Diane Forsythe (Craig), Ron (Janice) Mason, Patty Bastian, Tom Mason; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 11:00 AM with a reviewal starting one hour before at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 13505 Excelsior Blvd, Minnetonka. The celebration of life and dinner will take place at 5:30 PM at the Minnesota Horse and Hunt Club, 2920 220th St E. Prior Lake. Leave your church clothes at home and bring a favorite RT story.
The mass will be available on live stream and recorded at https://ihm-cc.org
