Mr. Blanton was born on August 2, 1958, in Adairville, KY, to the late Shelah and Mary Beatrice Hardin Blanton. He was a talented musician who loved playing guitar, making music, and listening to music. He also enjoyed being outdoors and painting. In the winter, Mr. Blanton would be found cheering on his UK basketball team. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister: Delores Dawson.
Mr. Blanton is survived by his son: Matthew Blanton of Portland, his daughters: Lauren Bridges of Seattle, WA, and Audrey (Colton) Banks of Orlinda, by his brother-in-law: David Dawson of Adams, by his nephew: Phillip Dawson of Adams, and by his grandchildren: Emma and Alton Bridges, Aiden Clemmons, Zachary and Ian Blanton, and William Banks.
