Randall Scott Goodwin

Randall “Scott” Goodwin, 72, of Fremont, OH passed away on March 12, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on October 21, 1951 in Fremont, OH the son of Jesse and Betty (Oman) Goodwin.  Scott was a 1970 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.

 

Scott was employed at Eveready for several years and then First Choice Packaging for twenty years until he retired in 2018.  He loved to spend time with his family and friends.    He enjoyed attending his grandkids events.  Scott also enjoyed golfing and was an avid Ohio State and Cleveland Browns fan.

 

Scott is survived by his children, Brandy (Levi) Johnson, Fremont and Ryan Goodwin, Cincinnati; grandchildren, Cora-Jean and Jonah Johnson, Nevaeh Sherman, Cylus and Gianna Goodwin; brothers, Jack (Joyce) Goodwin, Fremont and Gregory (Sunday) Goodwin of Ohio; nieces and nephews, Lee, Ronnie, Margaret “Jeannie”, Susie, Chad and Dawn Goodwin, Missy (Jerry) Rogers, Lesa Wright, Caleb Goodwin, special nephew Kyle (Claudia) Burks; and great neighbor, Bobby and Betty Patterson.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roy “Buddy” Goodwin.

 

Visitation: Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH.

 

A celebration of life will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  The family requests that you please dress casual or in your favorite sports attire.  The service will be live-streamed and recorded which is available in the link below.

 

Burial will take place at a later date at Fourmile House Cemetery.
