Randall F. Imes, age 66, a lifetime resident of Dellroy, Ohio, died late Saturday night, November 30, 2024 in the Ohio's Hospice Truman House at New Philadelphia following a brief illness.
He was born March 27, 1958 in Canton, Ohio and was the son of the late Thomas Franklin and Bertha F. "Bird" (King) Imes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel F. and John F. Imes.
He retired on August 1, 2023 as a press and lathe operator from Colfor Manufacturing, Inc. He also had previous experience in law enforcement where he served as a deputy for the Carroll County Sheriff's Department, and also performed duties as Town Marshal for the Village of Dellroy. He was also a skilled woodworker who enjoyed creating furniture and various other items. Following retirement, his favorite activity was to relax and watch television. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be missed by his family and many friends.
He is survived by his wife Karen L. (Hanshaw) Imes, whom he married July 6, 1991, five sons, Anthony Imes of Houston, TX, Stephen (Nicole) Imes of Dellroy, Thomas Imes of Louisville, OH, Chris Imes of Cadiz, OH and Taylor Imes of Carrollton, OH, two sisters Janice F. Nape of Dellroy and Mrs. Diane F. (Tim) Byrd of Dover, OH, and a brother, Stephen (Lynn) Imes of Evansville, IN, and his grandchildren Nahla, Nakarii, and Nailanii Imes and Jaden Smith.
At Randy's request, there will be no public funeral services scheduled. The Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville has been entrusted with his cremation arrangements. To leave an online condolence message please visit the funeral home website.
