Randall Leigh “Jake” Jacobs, Sr., 76, of Cumming passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024. Born August 25, 1947 in Milwaukee, WI and retired from Harnischfeger Industries in Wisconsin and moved to Georgia in 1994. He was a veteran of the US Army during the Vietnam War, where he was nicknamed “Jake”. He was very proud to serve his country. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Everyone who knew Jake, knew him as a gentle and kind God-fearing man. He was a member of Coal Mountain Baptist Church and loved his Jesus. He also loved his Pepsi Cola! His grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, called him Papa Jake. He will be greatly missed by everyone.
Randall is preceded in death by his parents- Albert & Eleanor Jacobs, and wife- Patricia Dickhut Jacobs, brothers- Fred Beckman, David Beckman Jacobs and Larry Jacobs
Survivors include his beloved wife of 16 years Becky Lamb Jacobs of Cumming; sons, Randall L. “Chip” Jacobs, Jr. (Andrea) of Whitewater, WI and Jarrett Jacobs (Marissa) of Walton, KY; daughters, Melanie Ellis (Chris) of Gainesville GA and Michele Charles (Clint) of Cumming GA; grandchildren, Hana, Benjamin, & Aaron Jacobs of Whitewater, WI, Bianca & Lincoln Jacobs of Walton, KY, Charlie & Jordan Ellis of Gainesville GA, Carah & Adalyn Charles of Cumming, GA; brothers, Gordan Jacobs (Muriel) of Hoquiam, WA, Milton Jacobs of Milwaukee, WI, Mark Jacobs (Sandy) of Muckwonago, WI; brothers in-law & sisters in-law, Marshall Gazaway (Gloria) and Wanda Echols of Gainesville GA, Ken & JoAnn Mrten of Waukesha, WI, John & Roxanne Williams of Pekin, IL; a number of nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
Our family would like to thank all our friends and church family for their love and prayers during this time. Thanks to the wonderful staff of Caritas Hospice Care, your care, love and professionalism made all the difference in the world!
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Coal Mountain Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Martin and Rev. Danny Bennett officiating. Interment will take place in Hebron, Wisconsin following a service in Okonomowoc, WI.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, May 21, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, May 22, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
