New Palestine, Indiana – Randall Edward Stidham passed away after being comforted by his family and friends on Monday, October 16, 2023. Randall was born, the youngest of ten, in Gate City, VA, on April 8, 1948, to William and Margaret (Bentley) Stidham. He was 75 years old.
Randy was a combat veteran of the United States Army, having proudly served during the Vietnam War. After leaving the service, he became an insurance adjustor for many years until his eventual retirement.
There were no strangers when Randy was around, everyone was a friend in waiting. He always had a joke or a story to warm people over and make them smile. Randy was also a car enthusiast, through and through. He could look at a car, tell you everything you needed to know about it. Not only how much they cost but also how to repair anything that went wrong with them.
In addition to his parents, Randy is preceded in death by his siblings, Belva, Blanch, Connie, Angie, Eulala, Franklin, Douglas, Bobby, and Roy.
Randy is survived by his partner of 23 years, Jerri Collins; sons Aaron William Stidham (Lisa), Shane Edward Stidham (Crystal); and grandchildren Kayla, Braeden, Brandon, Conner, Macy, and Berkeley.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, from 11 am to 1 pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East (10722 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46229). Funeral services will follow at 1 pm. Pastor Rick Moreland, Haven of Hope, whom Randy and Jerri met while attending New Pal United/His Place, will be conducting the services.
