Randel White, 80, of Helena died Monday, August 19, following an extended illness. A funeral service will be held at 11:00A.M., Friday, August 23, at Branded Heart Ministries, Center Hill, FL, with visitation one hour prior to the service. A visitation will also be held from 4:00-6:00P.M., Wednesday, August 21, at Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae, GA.
A native of Cedar Grove, GA, Mr. White was the son of the late Harlow and Millie Mae White. He had worked in the citrus industry in central Florida for more than 45 years, both as a grove manager and as the owner and operator of White's Grove Service. Mr. White served in the National Guard, was a member of Southside Baptist Church, McRae, GA, and was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Ila White, Dewitt White, Roger White, Gene White and Harold White.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Peggy Sloan White of Helena, GA; children, Teresa (Rick) Wilde of Center Hill, FL, Doug (Becky) White of Helena, GA and Ginger (Mark) Howard of Center Hill, FL; sisters, Doris Parker and Dorothy Faughn, both of Oxford, AL; grandchildren, Randy White, Joey (Teresa) White, Melissa (Christopher) Merritt, Jessica (Ryan) Reedyk, Caleb Fender and Jack Studdard; and nine great-grandchildren.
