Mr. Chandler attended Albemarle City Schools and graduated from North Stanly High School. He worked in the mobile home industry in production, transporting, and set-up for many years. Some of his favorite pastimes included motorcycles, golf, hunting, and reading. His church families over the years have included Albemarle First Assembly, where he was baptized, Harvest Church, and most recently, North Albemarle Baptist. All have played special roles in his life. Most important to him was his faith, family, and friends.
The past few years, Mr. Chandler enjoyed the simple life- walks at the park and watching football with his wife, "Star Trek" and sci-fi, reigning as the unofficial "Jeopardy" champion of his home, and reading and studying The Bible. His favorite verse was II Corinthians 5:21. He was full of life, laughter, and fun - he will be forever loved and greatly missed.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Garry Schwartz and staff at Levine and the staff of Hospice of Stanly and the Uwharrie for their compassionate care.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly and the Uwharrie or Samaritan's Purse in Boone.
