Randi Marie Thomas, 63, of Lakeside and formerly of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2025, at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, OH. She was born November 4, 1961, in Cleveland the daughter of Edward Stanley and Rita (Janke) Ostry, Sr. Randi was an attorney and previously an assistant prosecutor for Cuyahoga County and the Managing Attorney of the Cleveland Office of Attorney General Mike DeWine. She was a practicing member of the Ohio Bar Association.
Surviving are her husband E.J. Thomas whom she married on February 17, 2019; father: Ed Ostry, Sr.; mother: Rita Ostry; step-son: Edward J. Thomas, III of Florida; step-daughters: Alicia Layne Thomas of Charlotte, NC, Rose Victoria Thomas of Columbus; brothers: Edward Stanley (Christine Drabicki) Ostry, Jr. of Cleveland and Ronald (Tracy) Ostry of Akron.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date of Lakeside United Methodist Church.
