Debra Gable Thomas, age 63, of Pine Mountain, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at her residence.
Debra was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and lived most of her life in Brooks before moving to Pine Mountain. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford Earl Gable and Edith Evans Gable, and her brother Rick Gable. She graduated from East Coweta High School and formerly worked at Williams Body Shop.
Debra was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose greatest joy was spending time with her family. She had a passion for the simple pleasures of life and found happiness in the outdoors. She loved fishing, tending to her beautiful gardens, and watching the hummingbirds she cared for so faithfully.
One of Debra's greatest gifts was her ability to bring people together through her cooking. She was a wonderful cook, and for her, preparing a homemade meal was her way of showing love. Family and friends will fondly remember sitting around her table, sharing stories, laughter, and the comfort of her homecooked meals made with so much heart.
She is survived by her husband, David Thomas; daughter, Lindsey Thomas (Fiancée Brian Bailey); son, Travis Thomas (Taylor); and her beloved grandchildren, Tanner Cochran, Tyler Glover, Wyatt Thomas, Shepherd Thomas, and Silas Thomas.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Brooks Memorial Gardens, with Reverend Kenneth Whitlock officiating.
Debra will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her kind heart, her love for her family, her passion for the outdoors, and the countless meals and memories she shared with those she loved most.
