Bobby Burns Obituary
Born on March 7, 1955, in Columbus, Georgia, Bobby was the son of Virgil and Mary Burns. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 38 years, Patricia G. Burns; brother, Ronnie Burns, Sr.; granddaughter, Haley Burns; and great-grandson, Trey Dempsey.
He spent over 40 years working in the pest control business and took great pride in providing for his family. Bobby was known for his karaoke singing, making practical jokes, and his deep love of his family. He never missed a chance to get up and sing karaoke and to make you laugh. He found his greatest joy in time spent with his grand kids and great-grand kids.
He is survived by his children, Robert Burns, Jr., Cynthia Dempsey (Ronnie), Susan Pryor (Chris), Dennis Kevin Starnes (Cathy), and Jennifer Peterson (Johnny); 6 grandchildren, Danielle Owen (John), Ronnie Dempsey (Jill), Ashley Wilson (Branden), Peyton Pryor, Dalton Starnes (Chelsie), and Kayla Bridges; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Donnie Burns; and sisters, Carol Bice and Tina Brinson.
Visitation with the family will be on Sunday, February 8, 2026 from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Billy Smith will officiate.
