Randolph "Randy" K. Schlueter, age 81, of the Illinois Veteran's Home died on February 6, 2026 in the Home. He was born on August 21, 1944, in Quincy, the son of Eugene Schlueter, Sr. and Martha Conrad. He married Lois Puskar on October 27, 1978 at Vermont Street Methodist Church. She survives.

He graduated Quincy Senior High School and served in the United States Army from 1961 until 1964. Randy returned to Quincy in 1968 and began his sales career at TNT in West Quincy, MO. He and Lois owned Quality Auto Sales in West Quincy, MO. In 2002, he returned to work at Traders TNT Yamaha until his retirement in 2017.

Randy enjoyed vacations in Minnesota with his family and friends. He picked up the nickname "R.K." while golfing with Doc, Skinny, and Fuzzy. Golf was his passion. He was especially proud of his double eagle on hole #5 at Westview in 2000. As a 25 year member of Cedar Crest Country Club he logged hours on the golf course followed by a few games of gin.

He was a past member of the YMCA, a past member of Southside Boat Club and past member of CCCC where he served on the board.

In addition to his loving wife Lois, Randy is survived by his children: Joseph Schlueter, the son of Randy and Lois Schlueter, David Schlueter, the son of Randy Schlueter, and Randy (Bobbie Jo Cantlon) Schlueter, the son of Randy Schlueter.

Grandchildren: Sophie Schlueter, the daughter of Joseph; Olivia Aikman and Kayla Campen, the daughters of Shelly Campen.

Siblings: Jerry (Kathy) Schlueter, Martha (Sonny) Brown, and Ceil (Kevin) Stead.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Martha Schlueter, Sr, daughter, Shelly Campen, and brothers, Eugene Schlueter Sr, John Schlueter, Sr., and David Schlueter.

The family would like to especially thank the amazing Schappers staff at the Illinois Veteran's Home.

Cremation rites have been accorded. No formal services are planned at this time. Inurnment with military honors will take place at a later date. Memorials are suggested to Illinois Veteran's Home Activities Department of Quincy Humane Society. The Duker and Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
