Randy Brazel- Charleston, Missouri

Larry Rand "Randy" Brazel, 61, of Charleston, Missouri, passed away at Lutheran Home West, on Saturday, October 18, 2025, after an extended illness.

Randy graduated from Kelly High School in 1982 and went on to earn a degree in Agriculture from Southeast Missouri State University. Randy was a lifelong farmer and landowner whose hard work, dedication, and love for the land were evident in everything he did. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and especially loved to spend time hunting - a passion that brought him both peace and joy throughout his life.

He is survived by his parents, Larry and Beechy Brown Brazel; two sisters; Alana (Doug) Whitehead and Lauren (Craig) Brewer; his two children, Natalie (Trey) Kersey and Thomas Rand Brazel; three nieces Megan Whitehead, Grace Brewer, Kate Brewer; and two nephews Ross Whitehead and Max Brewer.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Elbert and Mae Boyd Brown and his paternal grandparents, JR and Carmen French Brazel.

Randy's parents and siblings would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all the friends and loved ones who offered support, compassion, and kindness during the last year. Your visits, calls, and thoughtful gestures brought comfort and strength during a difficult time, and we are deeply grateful for your presence in his life.

A private graveside service was held Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston. Gerald Collier officiated.

McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston was in charge of arrangements.
