Randy Buff

Randy LaVerne Buff was born May 1, 1952 in Springfield, Missouri to Vernon and Ruby Buff and passed January 13, 2025 in Jacksonville, Florida. Randy moved to Keystone Heights, Florida in 1960 and graduated from Gainesville High School in 1970. While in high school, Randy enlisted into the United States Navy and served four years during the Vietnam War. Returning home, Randy moved to Jacksonville, went to the Fire Academy, and worked twenty years for JFRD, stationed at NAS. After retirement, Randy worked at Safe-Lite Optical for over twenty years where he became very close friends with Dianne. Randy and Dianne married June 5, 2002. Safe-Lite went out of business and Randy worked at Gator Lodge until 2014. At that time, he retired for good to take care of his loving wife.
Randy was preceded in death by his wife, Dianne Buff, his parents, Vernon and Ruby Buff, his sisters, Sue Wagner and Jeanne Jones, and his brother Ray Buff. He is also preceded in death by his stepmother, Rachal Buff, stepdaughter Pattie Cumbie, stepson in law Jimmy McGlamry and step great grandson Ian McGlamry.
Randy leaves to cherish his memory, his stepdaughters, Debbie (Daniel) George, Cheryl (John) Pastore, Brenda (Joe) Barnes and Linda (Cecil Talbert) McGlamry, 8 step grandchildren, 11 step great grandchildren and 3 step great great grandchildren.
