Randy Steve Casteel

Randy Steve Casteel, 67, of Lebanon, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at his home in Lebanon, Tennessee. Born on June 11, 1957, in Gallatin, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Henry Casteel and Gloria Dean Presley Casteel.  Randy led a life that was characterized by his quiet demeanor and strong dedication to maintaining a beautiful lawn.

Known for his reserved nature, Randy was Randy... a typical Casteel, often keeping to himself but deeply appreciated by those around him. His hobbies included fishing, which brought him joy and tranquil moments spent in nature. Randy also had a penchant for tinkering, demonstrating an inquisitive spirit and a hands-on approach to life.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Ronnie Casteel, Tony Casteel, and Martha Casteel.

Randy leaves behind a loving family who will honor his memory. He is survived by his daughter, Lynn (Evan) Vaughn; his brother, Donnie (Margaret) Casteel; his sister, Norma Jean Casteel; his grandchildren, DJ Taylor and Kassie Taylor; and 3 great grandchildren. Each of them will carry forward the memories and values he instilled in their lives.

As we remember Randy, we celebrate a life of quiet strength and the simple pleasures that brought him contentment. His presence in our lives will be missed deeply but fondly remembered by all who knew him.  A memorial service is being planned for a later date.  Once the date/time/location has been determined, they will be updated to this obituary.
