Randy L. Durham Sr.

GOUVERNEUR- Randy L. Durham, Sr. age 66, of Gouverneur, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 1, 2026.

Randy was born on December 16, 1959 in Gouverneur, NY to the late Donald W. and Beverly A. (Dusharm) Durham. He graduated from Gouverneur Central School and then immediately entered into the United States Marines, where he served for 4 years. After the Marines, Randy enlisted into the United States Army and served for 17 years until his honorable discharge in 2007. Randy married Lisa Allen on July 12, 1986 at the Gouverneur United Methodist Church.

Randy had been the Assistant Manager at Ames Department Store. He was the Highway Superintendent for the Town of Fowler; the President of the St. Lawrence County Highway and he was a Real Estate Broker for TLC Reality in Gouverneur. He was a member of the Gouverneur Elks Lodge, where he was the Exalted Ruler from 2018-2020; a member of the Gouverneur Masonic Lodge and a member of the Am Vets. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, volunteering and talking politics. He was an avid Yankee's fan and he loved his cows.

Surviving is his wife, Lisa; three children, Randy Durham Jr., Andrew Durham and Angelina (Olesksandr "Alex" Taranovskyi); four brothers, Charles (Linda) Durham, Harold Durham, Terry (Debbie) Durham and Thomas Durham; a sister, Susan Durham; six grandchildren, Aiden, Jackson, Correy Durham, Randy III, Mark and Luke Durham; his mother-in-law, Mavis Allen and several nieces and nephews. Randy is predeceased by a daughter, Angela Marie; his parents, Donald and Beverly; a brother, Rick Durham and a sister, Connie Clement.

There will be a memorial service for Randy on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at the Gouverneur Elks Lodge. Arrangements are entrusted to French Funeral Home, Gouverneur. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.
