Randy Ervin Davidson, 71, retired Machine Operator for Union Carbide and resident of Culleoka, died Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 2, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Derek Hunter and Brian Adkisson officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Thursday, February 1, 2024, from 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.
Born March 2, 1952, in Maury County, he was the son of the late Amos Ervin Davidson and the late Mary Derryberry Davidson. Mr. Davidson enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports, camping, riding horses, working in his yard, and the Atlanta Braves. He was of Baptist faith.
Survivors include children, Misty (Jerimy) Kelley of Columbia; Josh (Alissa) Davidson of Culleoka; Jonathan (Elizabeth) Davidson of Spring Hill; Shabahn (Brad) Massey of Santa Fe; Kristen Cumbie of Columbia; former wife and friend, Nancy Davidson of Columbia; grandchildren, Jacob (Madison) Kelley of Santa Fe; Ashlynn Kelley of Columbia; Jaxon Davidson of Culleoka; Karli Massey of Santa Fe; Emma Davidson of Culleoka; Kendall Massey of Santa Fe; Brooklyn Davidson of Spring Hill; Madelyn Davidson of Spring Hill; Noah Davidson of Spring Hill; sisters, Linda (Dexter) Hunter of Lynnville; and Shawn Crumbley of Virginia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Rosemary Martin, and Dawn Thompson; and niece, Crystal Martin.
Active pallbearers will be Jacob Kelley, Jaxon Davidson, Noah Davidson, Shane Hunter, Brad Massey, Justin Whitley, and Jason Spencer. Honorary pallbearers include Donald Love, Larry Baker, Ricky Conner, David Chunn, Russ Krapf, and Don Derryberry.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the Staff at Unity, Hospice Compassus, and Maury Regional Medical Center 3rd floor and CCU nurses.
