Randy Lynn Finley, a kind and gentle soul, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023 at the age of 59, following a courageous three-year battle with cancer. Randy was born on May 17, 1964, in New Castle, PA, to his loving parents, the late Beecher Finley and Willodyne Odom.
Randy was a man of few words but possessed a unique ability to communicate volumes with just a glance. He was known for his unwavering determination, working the same job his entire career with Star Construction. Randy's simplicity in life was a virtue that he held dear, finding joy in life's simple pleasures and cherishing the moments spent with his friends and family.
Above all else, Randy's heart belonged to his beloved daughter and cherished grandchildren. They were his world, and his love for them knew no bounds. Randy was the favorite uncle to numerous nieces and nephews, always ready with a smile and a kind word, making him the beloved patriarch of his extended family.
One of Randy's favorite pastimes was embarking on a quiet drive to the bookstore with his daughter on Sunday afternoons. While she engrossed herself in the world of books, Randy would sit back and watch NASCAR races, pulling for his favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt.
Randy had a special place in his heart for his 2018 Purple Dodge Charger, a source of pride. A dedicated fan of Tennessee Volunteer Football, Randy's Sundays were often reserved for the camaraderie of races, football games and the comfort of shared meals with loved ones.
Randy leaves behind a legacy of love, simplicity, and unwavering devotion to his family. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his memory will forever warm our hearts.
