Randy Keith Forbus, age 74, passed away on March 28, 2026. He was born on May 8, 1951, in Alexander City, Alabama, and grew up in Jacksons Gap, AL. Randy graduated Auburn University in 1973 with a bachelor's degree in aviation management because he liked "things that moved". Upon graduation, he took his love of things that moved into the automotive business where he built his career for 44 years.
Randy was known as a dependable and steady presence who believed in commitment, loyalty, and doing things the right way. He carried himself with quiet strength and consistency and earned the respect of those who knew him through his actions rather than words. Randy (aka Randy Boom Boom Wilson) loved to bring a smile to everyone's face through his love of music with a karaoke microphone.
Family was the foundation of Randy's life. He was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who took great pride in caring for and supporting those he loved.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Forbus, and his mother, Frances Forbus.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Forbus; his children, Andy Forbus (Rachel Forbus) and Candy Thrus (Tim Thurs); his grandchildren, Lauren Forbus and Carson Thurs; his brother, Mickey Forbus; and his sister, Donna Forbus.
The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, Georgia, on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the tamily asks that donations be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation in Randy's honor at www.macular.org/want-to-help/donate.
Randy's life and faith were reflected in his favorite Bible verse, Romans 12:12 (ESV):
"Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer."
